Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

Far be it from You to do such a thing as this, to slay the righteous with the wicked, so that the righteous should be treated like the wicked; far be it from You. Should not the Judge of all the earth do right?”

Today, I am weak, even if an anointed king, and these men, the sons of Zeruiah, are too strong for me. May the Lord repay the evildoer according to his wickedness.”

‘Behold, I will bring disaster upon you and will take away your posterity and will cut off all your males, both free and slave, who are left in Israel,

then You will hear from heaven, and You will act and judge Your servants, to repay the guilty one by bringing his way on his own head; and to vindicate the innocent one by rendering to him according to his righteous behavior.

If I am wicked, woe unto me; and if I am righteous, yet will I not lift up my head. I am full of shame; look at my affliction!

Repay them according to their deeds, and according to the wickedness of their endeavors; repay them according to the work of their hands; render to them their due reward.

Also to You, O Lord, belongs mercy. For You render to every man according to his work.

Therefore they shall eat the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices.

If the righteous will be repaid on the earth, how much more the wicked and the sinner!

A man will be satisfied with good by the fruit of his words, and the work of a man’s hands will be recompensed to him.

He who digs a pit will fall into it, and he who rolls a stone, it will roll back on him.

But it will not be well with the wicked, neither will he prolong his days like a shadow, because he does not stand in reverence before God.

I will punish the world for its evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogance of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the ruthless.

“There is no peace,” says the Lord, “for the wicked.”

There shall no longer be an infant who lives only a few days, nor an old man who has not filled out his days. For the child shall die at one hundred years old, but the sinner being one hundred years old shall be accursed.

Behold, it is written before Me: I will not keep silent, but I will recompense, even recompense into their bosom,

your iniquities and the iniquities of your fathers together, says the Lord; because they have burned incense on the mountains and blasphemed Me on the hills, therefore, I will measure their former work into their bosom.

But I will punish you according to the fruit of your deeds, says the Lord, and I will kindle a fire in the forest, and it will devour all things around it.

But everyone will die for his own iniquity. Every man that eats the sour grape, his teeth will be set on edge.

For thus, says the Lord God, I will certainly deal with you as you have done, you who have despised the oath by breaking the covenant.

The soul who sins shall die. The son shall not bear the punishment of the iniquity of the father, nor shall the father bear the punishment of the iniquity of the son. The righteousness of the righteous shall be upon himself, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon himself.

And He spread it before me. And there was writing on the inside and on the outside, and written on it were words of lamentation and mourning and woe.

I the Lord have spoken. It shall come to pass and I will act. I will not go back, nor will I spare, nor will I be sorry. According to your ways and according to your deeds, I shall judge you, says the Lord God.

When I say to the wicked, “O wicked man, you shall surely die,” and you do not speak to warn the wicked from his way, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity. But his blood I will require from your hand.

Then they will cry out to the Lord, but He will not answer them; He will hide His face from them at that time, because they have wrought evil deeds.

The earth will become desolate because of its inhabitants, from the fruit of their deeds.

“But if you will not do so, behold, you have sinned against the Lord, and be sure your sin will find you out.

For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive his recompense in the body, according to what he has done, whether it was good or bad.

For he who has shown no mercy will have judgment without mercy, for mercy triumphs over judgment.

God also repaid the evil deeds of the men of Shechem, and the curse of Jotham son of Jerub-Baal came upon them.
