The dead shall not live; the departed spirits shall not rise. Therefore, You have punished and destroyed them and made all remembrance of them to perish.
And what will you do in the day of punishment and in the desolation which shall come from afar? To whom will you flee for help, and where will you leave your wealth?
Your dead shall live, their corpses shall arise. Awake and sing, you who dwell in dust, for your dew is as the dew of the dawn, and the earth shall give birth to the departed spirits.
When they say to you, “Seek after the mediums and the wizards, who whisper and mutter,” should not a people seek after their God? Should they consult the dead for the living?
