He who flees from the report of disaster shall fall into the pit, and he who comes up out of the midst of the pit shall be taken in the snare. For the windows from on high are open, and the foundations of the earth shake.

Therefore, I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall be shaken out of her place at the wrath of the Lord of Hosts and in the day of His fierce anger.

They shall go into the holes of the rocks, and into the caves of the earth, from the fear of the Lord, and from the glory of His majesty, when He shall arise to shake the earth mightily.

Fear and the pit and the snare will be upon you, O inhabitant of Moab, says the Lord.

He who flees from the terror shall fall into the pit, and he who gets up out of the pit will be taken in the snare; for I will bring upon it, even upon Moab, the year of their punishment, says the Lord.

Panic and snare have come upon us, desolation and destruction.

You have feared the sword, so I will bring a sword upon you, says the Lord God.

My net also I will spread upon him, and he shall be taken in My snare. And I will bring him to Babylon to the land of the Chaldeans. Yet he shall not see it, though he shall die there.

I will set My face against them. Though they go out from one fire, yet the fire shall devour them. Then you shall know that I am the Lord when I set My face against them.

Woe to you that desire the day of the Lord! Why do you want the day of the Lord? It is darkness, and not light,

as if someone fled away from a lion, but a bear attacked him, or got into the house and rested his hand on the wall, but a snake bit him.
