The oracle of Tyre. Wail, O ships of Tarshish, for Tyre is laid waste so that there is no house or harbor; from the land of Cyprus it is reported to them.

The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, the Kittites, and the Rodanites.

because of the day that comes to destroy all the Philistines and to cut off from Tyre and Sidon every helper that remains. For the Lord will destroy the Philistines, the remnant of the country of Caphtor.

In the eleventh year, on the first day of the month, the word of the Lord came to me, saying:

Son of man, because Tyre has said against Jerusalem, “Aha, the gateway of the peoples is broken. It has opened to me. I shall be filled now that she is laid waste,”

And they shall cause their voice to be heard against you, and shall cry bitterly, and shall cast up dust upon their heads; they shall wallow in ashes.

Of the oaks of Bashan they have made your oars; with ivory they have inlaid your deck of boxwood out of the coastlands of Cyprus.

For the ships of Kittim shall come against him. Therefore he shall be grieved and return and have indignation against the holy covenant and take action. He shall even return and show regard to those who forsake the holy covenant.

But Jonah got up to flee to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord. He went down to Joppa and found there a ship going to Tarshish. He paid its fare and went down into it to go with them to Tarshish from the presence of the Lord.

And ships will come from the coasts of Cyprus and will afflict Ashur and will afflict Eber, and he also will perish forever.”

“Woe to you, Chorazin! Woe to you, Bethsaida! For if the mighty works had been done in Tyre and Sidon which have been done for you, they would have repented long ago, sitting in sackcloth and ashes.

Then the border turned to Ramah, reaching the fortified city of Tyre. Then the border turned to Hosah, and ended at the Mediterranean Sea by the region of Akzib,
