For the king had ships at sea at Tarshish with the ships of Hiram. Every three years the ships of Tarshish came bringing gold, silver, ivory, apes, and peacocks.

For God is the King of all the earth; sing praises with understanding.

The ships of Tarshish were the carriers for your market. And you were filled and were very glorious in the midst of the seas.

then you will drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, and destroy all their carved images, and destroy all their molded images, and destroy all their high places,

“The merchants of the earth will weep and mourn over her, for no one buys their merchandise any more:

one-third of the living creatures in the sea died, and one-third of the ships were destroyed.
