The fishermen also shall mourn, and all those who cast a line into the brooks shall lament, and those who spread nets on the waters shall languish.

The fish that were in the river died, the river stank, and the Egyptians could not drink of the water of the river. Blood was everywhere throughout the land of Egypt.

It shall come to pass that the fishermen shall stand upon it. From En-gedi even to En-eglaim there shall be a place to spread out nets. Their fish shall be according to their kinds, as the fish of the Mediterranean Sea, exceedingly many.

They bring all of them up with a hook, they catch them in their net; they gather them in their dragnet. Therefore they rejoice and are glad.

Shall they continue to empty their net, and continually kill the nations while not sparing anyone?

We remember the fish, which we ate in Egypt for free, the cucumbers, and the melons, and the leeks, and the onions, and the garlic.

saying: ‘We played the flute for you, and you did not dance; we sang a dirge to you, and you did not mourn.’
