in the day that you plant it, you carefully fence it in, and in the morning you make your seed to flourish; but the harvest shall be a heap of ruins in the day of grief and desperate pain.
For thus says the Lord of Hosts, the God of Israel: The daughter of Babylon is like a threshing floor, it is time to thresh her; yet a little while and the time of her harvest will come.
Speak, Thus says the Lord: “The carcasses of men shall fall as dung upon the open field, and as the sheaf after the harvester, and no one shall gather them.”
Let both grow together until the harvest, and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers: Gather up the weeds first and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.’ ”
The border rises to the Valley of Ben-hinnom, to the southern slope of the Jebusites (that is, Jerusalem), then rises to the top of the hill west of the Valley of Ben-hinnom, at the northern end of the Valley of Rephaim.
The border then descends to the foot of the mountain that lies by the Valley of Ben-hinnom, which is at the north end of the Valley of Rephaim. It descends from the Hinnom Valley to the slope of the Jebusites, then down to En-rogel.
