Destruction upon destruction is proclaimed, for the whole land is devastated. Suddenly are my tents devastated, and my curtains in a moment.

A sound of crying will be from Horonaim: “Devastation and great destruction!”

for by the Ascent of Luhith they will go up with continual weeping; for at the descent of Horonaim they have heard a cry of destruction.

At the shout, “Babylon has been seized!” the earth is shaken, and the outcry is heard among the nations.

For the mountains I will take up a weeping and wailing, and for the habitations of the wilderness a lamentation, because they are burned up so that no one can pass through them; nor can men hear the lowing of the cattle. Both the fowl of the heavens and the beast have fled; they are gone.

Woe to you, Moab! You have perished, O people of Chemosh! He has made his sons fugitives, and his daughters captives, to Sihon king of the Amorites.
