So the land trembles and sorrows, for the purposes of the Lord will be performed against Babylon, to make the land of Babylon a desolation without an inhabitant.

Babylon will become heaps, a dwelling place for jackals, an astonishment, and a hissing, without an inhabitant.

Her cities have become a desolation, a dry land and a wilderness, a land in which no man dwells, through which no son of man passes.
