For the stars of heaven and their constellations shall not give their light; the sun shall be dark when it rises, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

I clothe the heavens with blackness, and I make sackcloth their covering.

Will not the day of the Lord be darkness, and not light? Will it not be deep darkness, with no brightness in it?

As a flood running forth, He will bring to an end the distress, and He will pursue His adversaries into darkness.

And on that day there will be no light. The lights will diminish.
