They are gone over the pass, they have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah is afraid, Gibeah of Saul has fled.

The rest of all the acts of Asa and all his might and all that he did and the cities that he built, are they not written in the book of the chronicles of the kings of Judah? When he was old, he got a disease in his feet.

Thus says the Lord: A voice is heard in Ramah, lamentation and bitter weeping, Rachel weeping for her children, refusing to be comforted for her children, because they are no more.

O Israel, you have sinned since the days of Gibeah. There they have continued. Will not the war in Gibeah against evildoers overtake them?

Blow the horn in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah. Cry aloud at Beth-aven, “Look behind you, O Benjamin!”

They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity, He will punish their sins.

And from the tribe of Benjamin they gave Gibeon, Geba,

Saul also went home to Gibeah. And there went with him a band of valiant men whose hearts God had touched.

So the messengers came to Gibeah of Saul, and spoke the words in the ears of the people. And all the people lifted up their voices, and wept.

Now Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were with them, were staying in Gibeah of Benjamin, but the Philistines encamped in Mikmash.

Saul chose for himself three thousand men of Israel. Two thousand were with Saul in Mikmash and in mountains of Bethel, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin. The rest of the people he sent each to his tent.

And the garrison of the Philistines had marched out to the ravine of Mikmash.

Now Saul was staying on the outskirts of Gibeah under the pomegranate tree which is in Migron. And the people that were with him were about six hundred men.

Between the passages, by which Jonathan sought to go over to the Philistines’ garrison, there was a sharp rock on the one side, and a sharp rock on the other side. And the name of the one was Bozez, and the name of the other Seneh.

The crag of the one rose north opposite Mikmash, and the other faced southward opposite Geba.

Then Samuel went to Ramah, and Saul went up to his house to Gibeah of Saul.

But his return was to Ramah, for his house was there and there he judged Israel. And there he built an altar to the Lord.
