The Lord has a dispute with Judah, and will punish Jacob according to his ways, and repay him according to his doings.

Hear, mountains, the indictment of the Lord, O enduring foundations of the earth— that the Lord has an indictment against His people, and against Israel He will dispute.

Hear the word of the Lord, O Israelites, for the Lord has a dispute with the inhabitants of the land: There is no truth or mercy, and no knowledge of God in the land.

I will send him against an ungodly nation, and against the people of My wrath I will give him a command, to seize the plunder, to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

Be not deceived. God is not mocked. For whatever a man sows, that will he also reap.

A noise shall come even to the remote parts of the earth, for the Lord has a controversy with the nations; He shall enter into judgment with all flesh. He shall give those who are wicked to the sword, says the Lord.

According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay: fury to His adversaries, recompense to His enemies; to the islands He will make recompense.

In that day the Lord shall punish the host of heaven on high and the kings of the earth on the earth.

When the Lord has performed all His work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, He will say, “I will punish the fruit of the stout heart of the king of Assyria and the glory of his high looks.”

Woe to the wicked! It shall be ill with him, for the reward of his hands shall be given him.

They have deeply corrupted themselves as in the days of Gibeah. He will remember their iniquity, He will punish their sins.

but they did not consider in their hearts that I remember all their wickedness. Now their own deeds surround them; they are before My face.

All their wickedness is in Gilgal, for there I hated them. Because of the wickedness of their deeds, I will drive them out of My house. I will love them no more. All their princes are rebels.

Thus says the Lord: For three transgressions of Judah, and for four, I will not revoke the punishment, because they have rejected the law of the Lord, and have not kept His commandments. The lies which their fathers followed have led them astray.

But the king of Assyria found conspiracy in Hoshea, for he had sent messengers to So king of Egypt and offered up no gift to the king of Assyria as he had done year by year. So the king of Assyria detained him, and then put him in prison.

Nevertheless they flattered Him with their mouths, and they lied to Him with their tongues;

Though they hire among the nations, I will now gather them. They will begin to diminish due to the burden of the king of princes.
