Now Elijah the Tishbite, who was one of the inhabitants of Gilead, said to Ahab, “As the Lord God of Israel lives before whom I stand, there will not be dew or rain these years except by my word.”
And he said, “I have been very zealous for the Lord, Lord of Hosts, for the Israelites have forsaken Your covenant, thrown down Your altars, and killed Your prophets with the sword, and I alone am left, and they seek to take my life.”

‘In the last days it shall be,’ says God, ‘that I will pour out My Spirit on all people; your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams.
And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of revelations, a thorn was given me in the body, a messenger of Satan, to torment me, lest I be exalted above measure.
