How much more so, when guilty men have slain an innocent man in his own house on his own bed, should I not now require his blood from your hand and wipe you from the earth?”

But the Lord is the true God; He is the living God and an everlasting King. At His wrath the earth trembles, and the nations cannot endure His indignation.

Thus says the Lord God: In the first month, on the first day of the month, you shall take a young bull without blemish and cleanse the sanctuary.

“I make a decree that in every dominion of my kingdom men are to fear and tremble before the God of Daniel. “For He is the living God, enduring forever; His kingdom shall never be destroyed, and His dominion shall be forever.

But whatever has a blemish you shall not offer, for it shall not be acceptable for you.

At the beginnings of your months you will offer a burnt offering to the Lord: two young bulls, one ram, seven lambs in their first year, without blemish;

You will say to them: This is the fire offering which you will bring near to the Lord: two male lambs in their first year, without blemish, day by day, as a regular burnt offering.

On the Sabbath day two lambs in their first year, without blemish, and two-tenths of an ephah of flour as a grain offering, mixed with oil, and its drink offering—

But if I cast out demons by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.

even as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.”

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!

Consider the ravens: They neither sow nor reap, they have neither storehouses nor barns. Yet God feeds them. How much more valuable are you than birds?

If God so clothes the grass, which today is in the field and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, how much more will He clothe you, O you of little faith?

For He whom God has sent speaks the words of God, for God gives the Spirit without measure to Him.

until the day when He was taken up, after He had given commandments through the Holy Spirit to the apostles whom He had chosen,

how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.

“Men, why are you doing this? We also are men, of like nature with you, preaching to you to turn from these vain things to the living God, who made the heaven and the earth and the sea, and everything that is in them,

and made no distinction between them and us, and purified their hearts by faith.

The invisible things about Him—His eternal power and deity —have been clearly seen since the creation of the world and are understood by the things that are made, so that they are without excuse.

and declared to be the Son of God with power, according to the Spirit of holiness, by the resurrection from the dead.

Now if their transgression means riches for the world, and their failure means riches for the Gentiles, how much more will their fullness mean?

For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are the natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Do not yield your members to sin as instruments of unrighteousness, but yield yourselves to God, as those who are alive from the dead, and your bodies to God as instruments of righteousness.

But now, having been freed from sin and having become slaves of God, you have fruit unto holiness, and the end is eternal life.

So it is written, “The first man Adam was made a living soul.” The last Adam was made a life-giving spirit.

God made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.

What agreement has the temple of God with idols? For you are the temple of the living God. As God has said: “I will live in them and walk in them. I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”

For through the law I am dead to the law, that I might live for God.

even when we were dead in sins, made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

Walk in love, as Christ loved us and gave Himself for us as a fragrant offering and a sacrifice to God.

If there is any defect in it, if it is lame or blind or has a serious defect, you shall not sacrifice it to the Lord your God.

You must not sacrifice to the Lord your God any bull or sheep that has a blemish or any defect, for that is detestable to the Lord your God.

For I know your rebellion and your stiff neck. Behold, even now, while I am yet alive with you today, you have been rebellious against the Lord. How much more after my death?

The eternal God is your refuge, and underneath you are the everlasting arms; He will drive out the enemy before you, and will say, “Destroy them.”

For who is there of all flesh who has heard the voice of the living God speaking out of the midst of the fire, as we have, and lived?

For they themselves declare how we were received by you, and how you turned to God from idols, to serve the living and true God,

Now to the eternal, immortal, invisible King, the only wise God, be honor and glory forever. Amen.

but if I am delayed, you might know how you ought to conduct yourself in the house of God, which is the church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.

who gave Himself for us, that He might redeem us from all lawlessness and purify for Himself a special people, zealous of good works.

He is the brightness of His glory, the express image of Himself, and upholds all things by the word of His power. When He had by Himself purged our sins, He sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.

By this will we have been sanctified through the offering of the body of Jesus Christ once for all.

But this Man, after He had offered one sacrifice for sins forever, sat down at the right hand of God.

Otherwise, would they not have ceased to be offered, since the worshippers, once purified, would no longer be conscious of sins?

let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled to cleanse them from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

By faith Jacob, when he was dying, blessed each of the sons of Joseph and worshipped while leaning on the top of his staff.

Therefore Jesus also, so that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate.

Be attentive, brothers, lest there be in any of you an evil, unbelieving heart, and you depart from the living God.

Therefore, leaving the elementary principles of the teaching of Christ, let us go on to maturity, not laying again a foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward God,

who becomes a priest not by a law pertaining to ancestry, but by the power of an endless life.

Unlike those high priests, He does not need to offer daily sacrifices—first for His own sins and then for the people’s, for He did this once for all when He offered up Himself.

neither by the blood of goats and calves, but by His own blood, He entered the Most Holy Place once for all, having obtained eternal redemption.

For then He would have had to suffer repeatedly since the world was created, but now He has appeared once at the end of the ages to put away sin by sacrificing Himself.

But only the high priest went into the second part once a year, not without blood, which he offered for himself and for the sins of the people, committed in ignorance.

This is an illustration for the present time, showing that the gifts and sacrifices offered could not perfect the conscience of those who worshipped,

but with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot.

“He committed no sin, nor was deceit found in His mouth.”

He Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness. “By His wounds you were healed.”

For Christ also has once suffered for sins, the just for the unjust, so that He might bring us to God, being put to death in the flesh, but made alive by the Spirit,

so that he no longer should live the rest of his time in the flesh serving human desires, but the will of God.

But if we walk in the light as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.

You know that He was revealed to take away our sins, and in Him there is no sin.

and from Jesus Christ, who is the faithful witness, the firstborn from the dead, and the ruler of the kings of the earth. To Him who loved us and washed us from our sins in His own blood,

David spoke to the men that stood by him, saying, “What will be done for the man that kills this Philistine and takes away this reproach from Israel? For who is this uncircumcised Philistine that he should defy the armies of the living God?”
