Were you displeased with the rivers, O  Lord? Was Your anger against the rivers, and was Your wrath against the sea when You rode on Your horses, on Your chariots of salvation?

Then the Lord spoke to Moses, “Say to Aaron, ‘Take your rod, and stretch out your hand over the waters of Egypt, over their rivers, over their canals, over their ponds, and over all their pools of water, so that they may become blood. And there will be blood throughout all the land of Egypt, both in vessels of wood and in vessels of stone.’ ”

Moses and Aaron did so, just as the Lord commanded. And he lifted up the rod and struck the waters that were in the river, in the sight of Pharaoh, and in the sight of his servants, and all the waters that were in the river were turned to blood.

The oracle of Egypt. Behold, the Lord is riding on a swift cloud and shall come into Egypt; and the idols of Egypt shall tremble at His presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in its midst.

Why, when I came, was there no man? When I called, was there no one to answer? Is My hand so short that it cannot redeem? Or have I no power to deliver? Behold, at My rebuke I dry up the sea, I make the rivers a wilderness; Their fish stink because there is no water, and die for thirst.

For behold, the Lord shall come with fire, and with His chariots like a whirlwind, to render His anger with fury and His rebuke with flames of fire.

He rebukes and dries up the sea, and He makes waterless all the rivers. Bashan and Carmel wither up, and the sprout of Lebanon wastes away.

You trampled the sea with Your horses, through the wakes of great waters.

He rose and rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, “Peace, be still!” Then the wind ceased and there was a great calm.

The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great Euphrates River, and its water was dried up, to prepare the way for the kings from the East.

I saw heaven opened. And behold, there was a white horse. He who sat on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness He judges and wages war.

The armies in heaven, clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses.

And I looked, and behold, there before me was a white horse. He who sat on it had a bow. And a crown was given to him, and he went forth conquering that he might overcome.
