“You saw, O king, and behold, there was a great image. This great image, whose brightness was excellent, stood before you. And its form was awesome.

This is the rejoicing city that dwelt securely, that said in her heart, “I am, and there is no one besides me.” How has she become a desolation, a place for beasts to lie down! Everyone who passes by her will hiss and shake his fist.

Go near and hear all that the Lord our God will say. Then speak to us all that the Lord our God will speak to you, and we will hear and do it.”
