Your eyes are too pure to look on evil, and You cannot look on wickedness. Why do You look on those who deal treacherously, and hold Your tongue when the wicked devours the man who is more righteous than he?

Break the arm of the wicked and the evil man; seek out his wickedness until You find none.

with the pure You will show Yourself pure; and with the crooked You will show Yourself shrewd.

Let no one who waits on You be ashamed; let them be ashamed who transgress without cause.

Lord, how long will You look on? Rescue me from their destruction, my precious life from the lions!

This You have seen, O  Lord; do not be silent! O Lord, be not far from me!

Let them not say in their hearts, “Ah, we have our heart’s desire!” Let them not say, “We have swallowed him up.”

These things have you done, and I kept silent; you thought that I was indeed like you; but I will rebuke you and make a case before your eyes.

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent; a devouring fire shall precede Him, and it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.

For I was envious of the boastful when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

Do not keep silent, O God; do not hold Your peace or be still, O God.

A grievous vision is declared to me; the treacherous one still deals treacherously, and the destroyer still destroys. Go up, O Elam. Lay siege, O Media. All her sighing I have made to cease.

From the uttermost part of the earth we hear songs, that is, “Glory to the Righteous One.” But I say, Woe to me! Woe to me! Alas for me! The treacherous deal treacherously; indeed, the treacherous deal very treacherously.

Woe to you, O destroyer, though you were not destroyed, and he who is treacherous, though others did not deal treacherously with you! When you cease destroying, you shall be destroyed; and when you finish dealing treacherously, others shall deal treacherously with you.

Will You refrain Yourself from these things, O  Lord? Will You hold Your peace and afflict us beyond measure?

to subvert a man in his cause, the Lord does not approve.

You make men like fish of the sea, like crawling things that have no ruler.

Let none of you consider evil plans in your heart against your neighbor, and do not love false oaths, for I hate all these things, says the Lord.

You have taken Him, who was handed over to you by the ordained counsel and foreknowledge of God, and by lawless hands have crucified and killed Him,

You must not deliver back to his master a slave who has escaped from his master to you.
