The Lord smelled a soothing aroma; and the Lord said in His heart, “I will never again curse the ground because of man, for the inclination of man’s heart is evil from his youth, nor will I again destroy every living thing as I have done.

So God said to Noah, “The end of all flesh is come before Me, for the earth is filled with violence because of them. Behold, I will destroy them with the earth.

The Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was continually only evil.

So the Lord said, “I will destroy man, whom I have created, from the face of the earth—both man and beast, and the creeping things, and the birds of the sky, for I am sorry that I have made them.”

Who can bring a clean thing out of an unclean? There is no one.

Behold, I was brought forth in iniquity, and in sin my mother conceived me.

The wicked are estranged from the womb; those who speak lies go astray from birth.

Their poison is like the poison of a serpent; they are like the deaf adder that stops its ear,

Now please let my lord king hear the words of his servant. If the Lord has stirred you up against me, let Him accept an offering. But if it was the sons of men, cursed are they before the Lord. For they have driven me today from having a share in the inheritance of the Lord, saying, ‘Go, serve other gods.’
