the sons of God saw that the daughters of men were fair and took as wives any they chose.

When she brought them close for him to eat, he took hold of her and said, “Come, lie with me, my sister.”

“I made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?

Turn away my eyes from beholding vanity, and revive me in Your ways.

My son, if sinners entice you, do not consent.

to deliver you from the wayward woman, from the adulteress who flatters with her words,

lest you give your honor to others, and your years to the cruel,

for the price of a prostitute leaves a man with a loaf of bread, and an adulteress preys upon his precious life.

She caught him and kissed him, and with an impudent face she said to him:

Therefore the showers have been withheld, and there has been no latter rain. And you had a harlot’s forehead; you refused to be ashamed.

You have built yourself a high place at the head of every street, and have made your beauty to be abhorred, and have spread your legs to every passerby to multiply your harlotries.

You have been as a wife who commits adultery, who takes strangers instead of her husband!

Thus you are different from other women in your harlotries in that no one follows you to commit harlotries, because you give money, and no money is given to you. Thus you are different.

But I say to you that whoever looks on a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart.

They have eyes full of adultery that cannot cease from sin. They entice unstable souls. Their hearts are trained in greed. They are cursed children!

For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—is not of the Father, but is of the world.
