Abraham journeyed from there toward the Negev, settled between Kadesh and Shur, and then he sojourned in Gerar.

The border of the Canaanites was from Sidon toward Gerar to Gaza, and then to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboyim, as far as Lasha.

Then Abram continued his journey toward the Negev.

So Abram went up from Egypt to the Negev, he and his wife and all that he had, and Lot with him.

Now Isaac came from the way of Beer Lahai Roi, for he lived in the Negev.

They lived from Havilah as far as Shur, which is east of Egypt, as you go toward Assyria. He died in the presence of all his relatives.

There was a famine in the land, in addition to the first famine that was during the days of Abraham. Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines in Gerar.

the herdsmen of Gerar contended with Isaac’s herdsmen, saying, “The water is ours.” So he called the name of the well Esek, because they contended with him.

Then Abimelech went to him from Gerar, along with Ahuzzath, one of his friends, and Phicol the commander of his army.

The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; the Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh.

Then Moses led Israel from the Red Sea, and they went out into the Wilderness of Shur, and they went three days in the wilderness and found no water.

And they returned and came to Moses and to Aaron and to all the assembly of the Israelites, to the Wilderness of Paran, to Kadesh, and brought back word to them and to the entire assembly and showed them the fruit of the land.

And when we cried out to the Lord, He heard our voice and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. “And here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

When we departed from Horeb, we went through all that great and terrible wilderness, which you saw by the way of the mountain of the Amorites, as the Lord our God commanded us, and we came to Kadesh Barnea.

because you trespassed against Me among the Israelites at the waters of Meribah Kadesh, in the Wilderness of Zin, because you did not treat Me as holy in the midst of the Israelites.

Then Saul struck the Amalekites from Havilah until you come to Shur, which is near Egypt.
