Then God set them in the expanse of the heavens to give light on the earth,

When I consider Your heavens, the work of Your fingers, the moon and the stars, which You have established,

O Lord, our Lord, how excellent is Your name in all the earth! You have set Your glory above the heavens.

“Have you commanded the morning in your days, and caused the dawn to know its place,

For thus has the Lord commanded us: ‘I have established you to be a light of the Gentiles, that you may bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’ ”

I have set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be a sign of a covenant between Me and the earth.

Thus says the Lord: If you can break My covenant of the day and My covenant of the night so that there should not be day and night in their season,

Thus says the Lord: If My covenant for day and night does not stand, and if I have not appointed the ordinances of heaven and earth,
