Then they ate together, both the Israelites who had come out of captivity and all those who had separated themselves from the uncleanness of the nations of the land, in order to seek the Lord God of Israel.

The remainder of the people, the priests, the Levites, the gatekeepers, the singers, the temple servants, and all who separated themselves from the people of the lands to the Law of God —their wives, their sons, and their daughters, that is, everyone who had knowledge and understanding—

The offspring of Israel separated themselves from all the foreigners and then stood and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers.

Your statutes are very sure; holiness befits Your house, O  Lord, forever.

Depart, depart, go out from there, touch no unclean thing; go out of the midst of her; be clean, you who bear the vessels of the Lord.

Then I will sprinkle clean water upon you, and you shall be clean. From all your filthiness and from all your idols, I will cleanse you.

Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”

Since we have these promises, beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.
