the descendants of those who were left in the land and whom the people of Israel were not able to utterly destroy, were conscripted by Solomon for slave labor to this day.
These were the ones who came up from Tel-melah, Tel-harsha, Kerub, Addon, and Immer, but they could not prove their father’s house or their descent, whether they were of Israel:
