by your great wisdom, by your trade, you have increased your riches, and your heart is lifted up because of your riches.

You have indeed struck Edom, and your heart has lifted you up. Enjoy respect and sit at home. Why stir up trouble and fall, you and Judah with you?”

He who trusts in his riches will wither, but the righteous will flourish like a green leaf.

Do you see a man who is wise in his own eyes? There is more hope for a fool than for him.

lest I be full and deny You, and say, “Who is the Lord?” or lest I be poor, and steal, and profane the name of my God.

Behold, this was the iniquity of your sister Sodom. Pride, abundance of bread, and careless ease was in her and in her daughters, but she did not strengthen the hand of the poor and needy.

Your heart was lifted up because of your beauty; you have corrupted your wisdom by reason of your brightness; I cast you to the ground, I lay you before kings, that they may see you.

Son of man, say to the leader of Tyre, Thus says the Lord God: Because your heart is lifted up, and you have said, “I am a god; I sit in the seat of gods in the midst of the seas,” yet you are a man, and not God, though you set your heart as the heart of God.

When he has taken away the multitude, his heart shall be lifted up; and he shall cast down many ten thousands, but he shall not be strengthened by it.

The king spoke, saying, “Is this not Babylon the Great that I myself have built as a royal residence by my mighty power and for the honor of my majesty?”

Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and extol and honor the King of heaven, for all His works are true and His ways just, and those who walk in pride He is able to abase.

When they had pasture, they were satisfied. They were satisfied, and their heart was exalted; therefore they forgot Me.

Tyre has built a rampart for herself and stored up silver like it were dust, and even gold like it were mud in the streets.

Be of the same mind toward one another. Do not be haughty, but associate with the lowly. Do not pretend to be wiser than you are.

Otherwise, you may say in your heart, “My power and the might of my hand have gained me this wealth.”

Command those who are rich in this world that they not be conceited, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who richly gives us all things to enjoy.
