He also rebelled against King Nebuchadnezzar, who had made him swear by an oath by God. He stiffened his neck and hardened his heart against turning to the Lord God of Israel.
But as the rotten figs, which cannot be eaten, they are so rotten, says the Lord, so I will forsake Zedekiah the king of Judah and his officials, and the rest of Jerusalem who remain in this land, and those who dwell in the land of Egypt.

Therefore thus says the Lord God: Because you have made your iniquity to be remembered, in that your transgressions are uncovered, so that in all your deeds your sins do appear, because, I say, that you have come to remembrance, you shall be seized with the hand.
while they see vanity for you, while they divine a lie to you to bring you upon the necks of the wicked who are slain, whose day has come in the time of the punishment of the end.
Because you have had a perpetual hatred and have delivered the Israelites to the power of the sword in the time of their calamity, in the time of the punishment of the end,
Now the end has come upon you, and I will send My anger upon you, and will judge you according to your ways, and will recompense upon you all your abominations.
So I will kindle a fire against the wall of Rabbah, and it will devour its fortresses, with a war cry on the day of battle, with a tempest on the day of the whirlwind.
