Moses told Aaron all the words of the Lord who had sent him, and all the signs which He had commanded him.

So Moses came and called for the elders of the people and laid before them all these words which the Lord commanded him.

He said, “Do not come near. Remove your sandals from your feet, for the place on which you are standing is holy ground.”

“Get up, go to Nineveh, the great city, and proclaim to it the message that I tell you.”

And Moses spoke to the heads of the tribes of the Israelites, saying: This is the thing that the Lord has commanded.

“He answered, ‘I will not,’ but afterward he repented and went.
