Everyone whose heart stirred him and everyone whose spirit was willing came and brought the Lord’s offering for the work of the tent of meeting and for all its service and for the holy garments.

So King David rose to his feet and said, “Hear me, my brothers and my people. I had it in my heart to build a house of rest for the ark of the covenant of the Lord, a footstool for the feet of our God, so I prepared to build it.

As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your fathers and serve Him with a whole heart and with a willing spirit, for the Lord searches every heart and understands the intent of every thought. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will abandon you forever.

“But who am I, and who are my people, that we should be able to offer so freely as this? For everything comes from You, even from Your own hand we have given to You.

Moreover, in my devotion to the house of my God I have offered from my own property, gold and silver, which I give for the house of my God, over and above that which I prepared for the holy dwelling place:

Whoever had precious stones gave them to the treasury of the house of the Lord in the custody of Jehiel the Gershonite.

Then the people rejoiced because they had offered willingly, for with a whole heart they had offered freely to the Lord; and King David also rejoiced greatly.

Moses called Bezalel and Oholiab and every skilled person in whom the Lord had put wisdom, everyone whose heart stirred him to come to the work to do it.

Keep your heart with all diligence, for out of it flow the springs of life.

Their leader shall be one of them, and their ruler shall proceed from their midst; and I will cause him to draw near and he will approach Me; for who is this that dares to approach Me? says the Lord.

O generation of vipers, how can you, being evil, speak good things? For out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaks.

For if there is a willing mind first, the gift is accepted according to what a man possesses and not according to what he does not possess.

Let every man give according to the purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or out of necessity, for God loves a cheerful giver.

Awake, awake, Deborah! Awake, awake, sing a song! Stand up, Barak, and capture your prisoners, son of Abinoam!

“Hear, O kings! Listen, O rulers! I will sing to the Lord; I will sing praise to the Lord God of Israel.

My heart is with the rulers of Israel who offered themselves willingly among the people. Bless the Lord!
