And while he lingered, the men took hold of his and his wife’s hands, along with the hands of his two daughters, the Lord being merciful to him, and brought him out and set him outside the city.

Please listen to the supplication of Your servant and of Your people Israel when they pray toward this place. May You hear in heaven, Your dwelling place, and when You hear, forgive.

then may You hear in heaven and act and judge Your servants, condemning the wicked, bringing his way on his own head, and justifying the righteous, giving him according to his righteousness.

Because if you return to the Lord, your brothers and children will find compassion before those who have taken them captive, in order to return you to this land. For the Lord your God is gracious and compassionate. He will not turn His face from you if you all return to Him.”

and said: “I beseech You, O  Lord God of heaven, the great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy for those who love Him and keep His commandments.

“Now therefore, our God, the great, the mighty, and the awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy, let not all the hardship, since the time of the kings of Assyria until this day, that has come on us, our kings, our princes, our priests, our prophets, our fathers, and on all Your people seem insignificant to You.

If I have sinned, then You would watch me, and You would not acquit me from my iniquity.

who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases,

Let the iniquity of his fathers be remembered before the Lord, and let not the sin of his mother be blotted out.

But there is forgiveness with You, so that You may be feared.

to Him who struck down the firstborn of Egypt, for His mercy endures forever;

but overthrew Pharaoh and his host in the Red Sea, for His mercy endures forever;

For Your name’s sake, O  Lord, pardon my iniquity, for it is great.

But You, O Lord, are a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and abundant in mercy and truth.

You answered them, O  Lord our God; You were a forgiving God to them, though You took vengeance on their deeds.

Be on guard before him and obey his voice. Do not provoke him, for he will not pardon your transgressions, for My name is in him.

Keep far away from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent and the righteous, for I will not justify the wicked.

Then He said, “I will make all My goodness pass before you, and I will proclaim the name of the Lord before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”

He said, “If now I have found favor in Your sight, O Lord, let my Lord, I pray, go among us, for we are a stiff-necked people. Pardon our iniquity and our sin, and take us for your inheritance.”

Declare and set forth your case; let them take counsel together. Who has declared this from ancient times? Who has told it from that time? Have not I, the Lord? And there is no God besides Me, a righteous God and Savior; there is no other besides Me.

For I am with you, says the Lord, to save you. Although I make a full end of all nations wherever I have scattered you, yet I will not make a full end of you. But I will correct you in measure and will not leave you altogether unpunished.

You show lovingkindness to thousands, and recompense the iniquity of the fathers into the bosom of their children after them, O great and mighty God. The Lord of Hosts is His name,

but let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, that I am the Lord who exercises lovingkindness, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, says the Lord.

And I prayed to the Lord my God, and made my confession, and said, “Alas, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping His covenant and mercy to those who love Him, and to those who keep His commandments.

To the Lord our God belong mercies and forgiveness, though we have rebelled against Him.

Should I acquit the scales of wickedness, and the sack of dishonest weights?

Who is a God like You, bearing iniquity and passing over transgression for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not remain angry forever, because He delights in benevolence.

Who can stand before His anger? Who will rise up before His burning wrath? His heat is poured out like fire, and the rocks are broken up before Him.

Therefore I say to you, all kinds of sin and blasphemy will be forgiven men, but the blasphemy against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven men.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

When they had no money to pay, he freely forgave them both. Tell Me, therefore, which of them will love him more?”

Then He said to her, “Your sins are forgiven.”

“Therefore, brothers, let it be known to you that through this Man forgiveness of sins is proclaimed to you,

God exalted this Man to His right hand to be a Ruler and a Savior, to give repentance to Israel and forgiveness of sins.

In Him we have redemption through His blood and the forgiveness of sins according to the riches of His grace,

And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God in Christ also forgave you.

Vengeance is Mine, and recompense; their foot will slip in due time; for the day of their calamity is at hand, and the things to come hasten upon them.

yet He repays those who hate Him to their face, to destroy them. He will not be slack with him who hates Him. He will repay him to his face.

Know therefore that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God, who keeps covenant and mercy with them who love Him and keep His commandments to a thousand generations,

For our God is a consuming fire.

Then Joshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve the Lord, for He is a holy God. He is a jealous God, and He will not forgive your transgressions or your sins.

If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

Anyone whose name was not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.

But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the abominable, the murderers, the sexually immoral, the sorcerers, the idolaters, and all liars shall have their portion in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. This is the second death.”
