Then I will take away My hand, and you will see My back, but My face may not be seen.”
“Can you search out the deep things of God? Can you find out the totality of the Almighty?
Indeed, these are but a part of His ways, and how small a whisper we hear of Him! But the thunder of His power who can understand?”
He said, “You cannot see My face, for no man can see Me and live.”
No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who at the Father’s side, has made Him known.
For now we see as through a glass, dimly, but then, face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know, even as I also am known.
He alone has immortality, living in unapproachable light, whom no one has seen, nor can see. To Him be honor and everlasting power. Amen.
