When Aaron saw it, he built an altar before it. And Aaron made a proclamation and said, “Tomorrow will be a feast to the Lord.”

So they rose up early on the next day, and offered burnt offerings, and brought peace offerings. And the people sat down to eat and to drink, and rose up to play.

Because Ephraim has multiplied altars for sin, they have become to him altars for sinning.

Israel has forgotten his maker and built temples, and Judah has multiplied fortified cities; so I will send a fire upon his cities, and it will devour his palaces.

Speak to the Israelites, and say to them: Concerning the feasts of the Lord that you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, these are My appointed feasts.

You shall make a proclamation on the same day and shall hold a holy convocation. You shall do no regular work. It shall be a perpetual statute in all your dwellings throughout your generations.

These are the appointed feasts of the Lord, which you shall proclaim to be holy convocations, to offer a food offering made by fire to the Lord, burnt offerings and grain offerings, sacrifices and drink offerings, each on its proper day,

These are the appointed feasts of the Lord, holy convocations which you shall proclaim in their appointed times.

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, nor with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

And Saul built an altar to the Lord. It was the first altar that he built to the Lord.
