The rich must not give more and the poor must not give less than half a shekel, when you give an offering to the Lord, to make atonement for your lives.

David said to the Gibeonites, “What must I do for you, and with what may I appease you that you may bless the inheritance of the Lord?”

Yet He is not partial to princes, nor does He regard the rich more than the poor. For they all are the work of His hands.

When you take the census of the Israelites according to their number, then each man is to pay a ransom for his life to the Lord when you count them, so that there be no plague among them when you number them.

Everyone who is counted, from twenty years old and above, must give an offering to the Lord.

You must take the atonement money of the Israelites and give it for the service of the tent of meeting, so that it may be a memorial to the Israelites before the Lord, to make atonement for your lives.

one bekah for every man, that is, half a shekel, according to the shekel of the sanctuary, for everyone who was numbered, from twenty years old and upward, for six hundred three thousand five hundred and fifty men.

The rich and the poor have this in common: the Lord is the Maker of them all.

All the people of the land shall give this offering for the prince in Israel.

For the life of the flesh is in the blood, and I have given it to you on the altar to make atonement for your lives, for it is the blood that makes atonement for the soul.

We have brought an offering for the Lord, what every man has gotten of jewels of gold, chains, and bracelets, rings, earrings, and pendants, to make an atonement for ourselves before the Lord.”

And masters, do the same things for them, no longer threatening, knowing that your Master also is in heaven, and there is no partiality with Him.

But he who does wrong will receive for the wrong which he has done, and there is no partiality.
