And as midday passed, they prophesied until the time of the offering of the evening sacrifice. But there was no voice. No one answered; no one paid attention.

Then King Ahaz commanded Uriah the priest, “Upon the great altar offer the morning burnt offering, the evening grain offering, the king’s burnt offering, and his grain offering with the burnt offering of all the people of the land, their grain offering, and their libations. Sprinkle on it all the blood of the burnt offering and all the blood of the sacrifice, and the bronze altar will be for me to inquire by.”

The next morning about the time of offering the sacrifice, behold, water flowed from the way of Edom, and the land was filled with water.

They sacrifice burnt offerings to the Lord every morning and evening and put out an incense of spices. They also set the showbread in place on the ritual table and set the golden lampstand with its lamps to burn every evening. For we keep the duty of the Lord our God, but you all have abandoned Him.

And Solomon sent word to Hiram king of Tyre saying, “As you did for David my father and sent him cedar trees in order to build for himself a house in which to dwell, so deal with me.

Because of the vile behavior of those who had been in exile, everyone who trembled at the words of the God of Israel gathered to me, but I sat astonished until the evening sacrifice.

Let my prayer be set as incense before You, and the lifting up of my hands as the evening sacrifice.

O  Lord, in the morning You will hear my voice; in the morning I will direct my prayer to You, and I will look up expectantly.

You shall keep it up until the fourteenth day of the same month, and then the whole assembly of the congregation of Israel shall kill it in the evening.

And with the first lamb will be one-tenth of an ephah of flour mingled with one-fourth of a hin of beaten oil, and one-fourth of a hin of wine for a drink offering.

indeed, while I was speaking in prayer, the man Gabriel, whom I had seen in the vision at the beginning, being caused to fly swiftly, touched me about the time of the evening offering.

And the whole crowd of people were praying outside at the hour of incense.

to which our twelve tribes hope to attain, as they earnestly serve God day and night. Concerning this hope, King Agrippa, I am accused by the Jews.
