Modern English Version

The son who is priest in his succession shall wear them seven days when he comes into the tent of meeting to minister in the holy place.

He waited yet another seven days, and again he sent out the dove from the ark.

He waited another seven days and sent out the dove again, but she did not return to him again.

Seven days you shall eat unleavened bread. On the first day you shall put away leaven out of your houses, for whoever eats leavened bread from the first day until the seventh day, that person shall be cut off from Israel.

The holy garments belonging to Aaron are to belong to his sons after him, so that they may be anointed in them and be consecrated in them.

You shall take the ram of the consecration and boil its flesh in a holy place.

Thus shall you do to Aaron and his sons according to all that I have commanded you. You shall consecrate them for seven days.

For seven days they shall purge the altar and purify it. So they shall consecrate it.

Then the priest shall examine him on the seventh day, and if the mark is still visible, and the mark has not spread into the skin, then the priest shall isolate him for seven days more.

The priest, who is anointed and consecrated to minister as a priest in the place of his father, shall make atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, the holy garments.

On the eighth day Moses called Aaron and his sons and the elders of Israel.

Aaron therefore went to the altar and slaughtered the calf of the sin offering which was for himself.

Moses stripped Aaron of his garments and put them on Eleazar his son. And Aaron died there on the top of the mountain, and Moses and Eleazar came down from the mountain.

For such a High Priest was fitting for us, for He is holy, innocent, undefiled, separate from sinners, and is higher than the heavens.
