In the passing of time, the king of Egypt died. And the Israelites sighed because of the bondage, and they cried out, and their cry came up to God on account of the bondage.

Do not hide Your face from me in the day of my trouble; incline Your ear to me; in the day when I call, answer me speedily.

“Because the poor are plundered, because the needy sigh, now I will arise,” says the Lord; “I will place him in the safety for which he yearns.”

In my distress I called upon the Lord, and cried for help to my God; He heard my voice from His temple, and my cry to Him reached His ears.

and they made their lives bitter with hard service—in mortar and in brick, and in all manner of service in the field. In all their service they made them serve with rigor.

The Lord said to Moses in Midian, “Go, return to Egypt, for all the men are dead who sought your life.”

I have also heard the groaning of the Israelites, whom the Egyptians keep in bondage, and I have remembered My covenant.

Moses spoke so to the Israelites, but they did not listen to Moses on account of their anguish of spirit and for cruel bondage.

Moses was eighty years old, and Aaron was eighty-three years old when they spoke to Pharaoh.

It shall be for a sign and for a witness to the Lord of Hosts in the land of Egypt. For they shall cry to the Lord because of the oppressors, and He shall send them a Savior and a Champion. And He shall deliver them.

For the vineyard of the Lord of Hosts is the house of Israel, and the men of Judah His pleasant plant. Thus He looked for justice, but behold, oppression; for righteousness, but behold, an outcry!

And when we cried out to the Lord, He heard our voice and sent an angel and brought us out of Egypt. “And here we are in Kadesh, a city on the edge of your territory.

“When forty years had passed, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in the wilderness of Mount Sinai, in a flame of fire in a bush.

You must give him his wages on that very day before the sun sets, for he is poor, and sets his heart on it, lest he cry against you to the Lord, and it be a sin to you.

Behold, the wages that you kept back by fraud from the laborers who harvested your fields are crying, and the cries of those who harvested have entered into the ears of the Lord of Hosts.

The Israelites cried out to the Lord, for Sisera had nine hundred iron chariots and had forcefully oppressed the Israelites for twenty years.

“When Jacob went into Egypt and your fathers cried out to the Lord, the Lord sent Moses and Aaron who brought forth your fathers out of Egypt and made them dwell in this place.

“Tomorrow about this time I will send you a man out of the land of Benjamin. And you will anoint him to be leader over My people Israel, that he may save My people out of the hand of the Philistines. For I have looked upon My people, because their cry has come unto Me.”
