And the name of the other was Eliezer, for he said, “The God of my father was my help, and He delivered me from the sword of Pharaoh.”

because of the God of your father who will help you, and by the Almighty who will bless you with blessings from heaven above, blessings from the deep that lies beneath, the blessings of the breasts and the womb.

The sons of Moses were Gershom and Eliezer.

The son of Eliezer was Rehabiah the chief. Eliezer had no other sons, but the sons of Rehabiah were very many.

I love You, O  Lord, my strength.

He delivers me from my enemies. You exalt me above those who rise up against me; You have delivered me from the violent man.

I sought the Lord, and He answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

So Pharaoh said to him, “Get away from me! Watch yourself, do not see my face anymore, for in the day you see my face you shall die.”

Now when Pharaoh heard this thing, he sought to slay Moses. But Moses fled from the presence of Pharaoh and settled in the land of Midian, and he dwelt by a well.

Then she gave birth to a son, and he called his name Gershom, for he said, “I have been a sojourner in a foreign land.”

Moses took his wife and his sons and set them on a donkey, and he returned to the land of Egypt. And Moses took the rod of God in his hand.

My God has sent His angel and has shut the lions’ mouths so that they have not hurt me, because innocence was found in me before Him; and also before you, O king, I have done no harm.”

When Peter had come to himself, he said, “Now I certainly know that the Lord has sent His angel and delivered me from the hand of Herod and from all that the Jewish people were expecting.”

Moses fled at this word and became a sojourner in the land of Midian, where he became the father of two sons.

But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that through me the preaching might be fully known, and that all the Gentiles might hear. And I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion.

quenched the violence of fire, escaped the edge of the sword, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in fighting, and turned the armies of foreign enemies to flight.

So we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
