He said to them, “This is what the Lord has said, ‘Tomorrow is the Sabbath, a holy Sabbath to the Lord. Bake that which you will bake today, and boil that you will boil, and all that which remains over lay up for yourselves to be kept until the morning.’ ”

“You came down on Mount Sinai and spoke with them from heaven and gave them just requirements, true laws, good statutes and commandments.

You also revealed to them Your Holy Sabbath and, by the hand of Moses Your servant, set in place for them the precepts, statutes, and laws.

Moses said to them, “Let no man leave any of it until the morning.”

For six days you are to do your work, but on the seventh day you must cease, so that your ox and your donkey may rest, and the son of your female servant and the foreigner may refresh themselves.

Six days may work be done, but on the seventh is the Sabbath of complete rest, holy to the Lord. Whoever does any work on the Sabbath day will surely be put to death.

You shall not carry a load out of your houses on the Sabbath day, nor do any work, but keep the Sabbath day holy, as I commanded your fathers.

For six days work shall be done, but the seventh day is the Sabbath of complete rest, a holy convocation. You shall do no work. It is the Sabbath of the Lord in all your dwellings.

The manna was as coriander seed, and it looked like bdellium.

The people went about and gathered it, and ground it in mills or beat it in a mortar, and boiled it in pots, and made cakes of it, and the taste of it was like the taste of cakes baked in oil.

Then they returned and prepared spices and ointments. On the Sabbath they rested according to the commandment.

Keep the Sabbath day, to keep it holy, just as the Lord your God has commanded you.

I was in the Spirit on the Lord’s Day, and I heard behind me a great voice like a trumpet,
