In the greatness of Your excellence, You overthrow those who rise up against You. You send out Your wrath; it consumes them like stubble.

Let them praise the name of the Lord, for His name alone is exalted; His glory is above the earth and heaven.

Consume them in wrath, consume them that they may be no more; and let them know that God rules in Jacob to the ends of the earth.    Selah

to Him who rides on the highest heavens, which were of old! Behold, He sends out His voice, a mighty voice.

Whom have you reproached and blasphemed? And against whom have you raised your voice, and lifted up your eyes haughtily? Against the Holy One of Israel!

Because your rage against Me and your tumult have come up into My ears, therefore I will put My hook in your nose, and My bridle in your lips, and I will turn you back on the way by which you came.

Then the angel of the Lord went out and struck one hundred and eighty-five thousand in the camp of the Assyrians. When others woke up early in the morning, behold, these were all dead bodies.

As he was worshipping in the house of Nisrok, his god, Adrammelek and Sharezer, his sons, struck him with the sword, and they escaped into the land of Ararat. And Esarhaddon his son reigned in his stead.

Behold, they shall be as stubble, the fire shall burn them; they shall not deliver themselves from the power of the flame; it shall not be coal to be warmed by nor a fire to sit before.

But the Lord of Hosts shall be exalted in judgment, and God who is holy shall be sanctified in righteousness.

Therefore, as the fire devours the stubble and the flame consumes the chaff, so their root shall be as rottenness, and their blossom shall go up as dust; because they have cast away the law of the Lord of Hosts and despised the word of the Holy One of Israel.

There is no one like You, O  Lord. You are great, and Your name is great in might.

But now many nations are gathered against you, saying, “May she be defiled, and may our eyes gaze upon Zion.”

Then the Lord will go out and fight those nations as He fights in the day of war.

On that day living water will flow out from Jerusalem, half to the Dead Sea and the other half to the Mediterranean Sea. This will happen for the summer as well as the winter.

For thus says the Lord of Hosts: He has sent Me after glory to the nations which plunder you, for he who touches you touches the apple of His eye.

Surely the day is coming, burning like an oven; all the proud, yes, all evildoers will be stubble. The day that is coming will burn them up, says the Lord of Hosts, so that it will leave them neither root nor branch.

His winnowing fork is in His hand, and He will thoroughly clean His floor and gather His wheat into the granary, but He will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire.”

He fell to the ground and heard a voice saying to him, “Saul, Saul, why do you persecute Me?”

There is none like the God of Jeshurun, who rides through the heavens to help you, and in His majesty through the skies.

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire. He is a jealous God.

For our God is a consuming fire.
