So I will harden Pharaoh’s heart, so that he shall pursue them. And I will be honored because of Pharaoh and because of all his army, so that the Egyptians may know that I am the Lord. And they did so.

You enacted signs and wonders against Pharaoh, against all his servants, and against all the people of his land because You knew how arrogantly they had acted against them. Thus, You made a name for Yourself, as it is this day.

But the Lord hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he would not let them go.

Then the Egyptians pursued and went in after them into the midst of the sea, even all Pharaoh’s horses, his chariots, and his horsemen.

He removed their chariot wheels, so that they drove them with difficulty, and the Egyptians said, “Let us flee from the face of Israel, for the Lord is fighting for them against Egypt.”

For Pharaoh will say of the Israelites, “They are confused in the land. The wilderness has shut them in.”

When it was told the king of Egypt that the people fled, the heart of Pharaoh and of his servants was turned against the people, and they said, “Why have we done this, that we have let Israel go from serving us?”

The Lord hardened the heart of Pharaoh king of Egypt, and he pursued after the Israelites. However, the Israelites went out with confidence.

Now I know that the Lord is greater than all gods, for in the matter in which they treated the people insolently, He was above them.”

And I will take you to Me for a people, and I will be to you a God. And you shall know that I am the Lord your God, who brings you out from under the burdens of the Egyptians.

Thus says the Lord, “In this you shall know that I am the Lord: Behold, I will strike the waters of the Nile with the rod that is in my hand, and they shall be turned to blood.

But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart and multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt.

And the Egyptians shall know that I am the Lord when I stretch forth My hand upon Egypt and bring out the Israelites from among them.”

But, indeed, for this cause I have raised you up, in order to show in you My power, so that My name may be declared throughout all the earth.

But I acted for My name’s sake, that it should not be polluted before the nations among whom they were, in whose sight I made Myself known to them in bringing them out of the land of Egypt.

and say, Thus says the Lord God: Behold, I am against you, O Sidon; and I will be glorified in your midst; and they shall know that I am the Lord, when I execute judgments in her and display My holiness in her.

When I make the land of Egypt desolate, and the country is destitute of that by which it was full, when I smite all those who dwell in it, then shall they know that I am the Lord.

And you shall come up against My people of Israel as a cloud to cover the land. It shall come about in the latter days that I will bring you against My land so that the nations may know Me when I shall be sanctified in you, O Gog, before their eyes.

Thus I will magnify Myself, and sanctify Myself, and I will be known in the eyes of many nations. Then they shall know that I am the Lord.

Indeed, all the people of the land shall bury them. And it shall be their renown on the day that I shall be glorified, says the Lord God.

Then Moses said to Aaron, “This is what the Lord spoke, saying: ‘I will be sanctified by those who come near Me; and before all the people I will be glorified.’ ” And Aaron held his peace.

As it is written: “God has given them a spirit of slumber, eyes that would not see and ears that would not hear, to this very day.”

For the Scripture says to Pharaoh, “For this very purpose I have raised you up, that I may show My power in you, and that My name may be proclaimed in all the earth.”

Therefore He has mercy on whom He wills, and He hardens whom He wills.

because the Lord hardened their hearts to engage Israel in battle. They destroyed them without mercy, to put them to death, as the Lord had commanded Moses.

I will draw Sisera, the commander of the army of Jabin, with his chariots and large army to you at the River Kishon and give him into your hands.’ ”
