Now the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron in the land of Egypt, saying:

Therefore return the man’s wife, for he is a prophet and he will pray for you. Moreover, you will live. However, if you do not return her, know that you will surely die, you and all who are yours.”

And the Israelites who were present had the Passover at that time and the Feast of Unleavened Bread for seven days.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month at evening, you shall eat unleavened bread until the twenty-first day of the month at evening.

This month shall be the beginning of months to you. It shall be the first month of the year to you.

Now the Lord spoke to Moses, saying:

On the first day of the first month you shall set up the tabernacle of the tent of meeting.

In the first month, on the fourteenth day of the month, you shall have the Passover, a feast of seven days. Unleavened bread shall be eaten.

On the fourteenth day of the first month is the Passover of the Lord.

Let the Israelites also keep the Passover at its appointed time.

On the fourteenth day of this month, at evening, you will keep it at its appointed time. According to all its rites and according to all its ceremonies, you will keep it.

They kept the Passover on the fourteenth day of the first month at evening in the Wilderness of Sinai. According to all that the Lord commanded Moses, so the Israelites did.

Now the feasts of the Passover and of Unleavened Bread were two days away. And the chief priests and the scribes looked for a way to seize Him secretly and kill Him.

Now the Feast of Unleavened Bread, which is called the Passover, drew near.

When he had seized him, he put him in prison and handed him over to four squads of soldiers to guard him, intending to bring him before the people after the Passover.

A man of God came to Eli and said to him, “Thus says the Lord, ‘Did I not plainly reveal Myself to the house of your father, when they were in Egypt in Pharaoh’s house?
