Then he drank some of the wine and became drunk, and lay uncovered in his tent.

Those who sit in the gate speak against me, and I am the song of the drunkards.

Wine is a mocker, strong drink is a brawler; whoever is seduced by it is not wise.

and begins to strike his fellow servants and eat and drink with the drunkards,

For he will be great in the sight of the Lord, and shall drink neither wine nor strong drink, and he will be filled with the Holy Spirit, even from his mother’s womb.

If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask Him?”

But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master delays his coming,’ and begins to beat the house servants, both men and women, and to eat and drink and get drunk,

“Take heed to yourselves, lest your hearts become burdened by excessiveness and drunkenness and anxieties of life, and that Day comes on you unexpectedly.

and he said to him, “Every man serves the good wine first, and after men have drunk freely, then the poor wine is served. But you have kept the good wine until now.”

For he was a good man, full of the Holy Spirit and of faith. And many people were added to the Lord.

Let us behave properly, as in the day, not in carousing and drunkenness, not in immorality and wickedness, not in strife and envy.

For in eating, each one eats his own supper ahead of others. One goes hungry, and another becomes drunk.

But I have written to you not to keep company with any man who is called a brother, who is sexually immoral, or covetous, or an idolater, or a reviler, or a drunkard, or an extortioner. Do not even eat with such a person.

nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.

They shall say to the elders of his city, “This son of ours is stubborn and rebellious. He will not listen to us. He is a glutton and a drunkard.”

For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk, are drunk at night.

any man who is blameless, the husband of one wife, having faithful children who are not accused of being wild or unruly.
