They will eat up your harvest and your bread which your sons and your daughters should eat. They will eat up your flocks and your herds; they will eat up your vines and your fig trees; they will impoverish your fenced cities, in which you trusted, with the sword.

Judah and the land of Israel, they were your merchants. They traded in your market with the wheat of Minnith, cakes, honey, oil, and balm.

The earth will answer the grain, the wine, and the oil; and they will answer Jezreel.

But she did not know that it was I who provided her the grain, the wine, and the oil, and multiplied her silver and gold that they used for Baal.

Then each man will sit under his vine and under his fig tree, and no one will make them afraid; for the mouth of the Lord of Hosts has spoken.

Though the fig tree does not blossom, nor fruit be on the vines; though the yield of the olive fails, and the fields produce no food; though the flocks are cut off from the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls—

And they came to the Valley of Eshkol, and cut down from there a branch with one cluster of grapes, and they carried it on a pole between two of them, and they brought some of the pomegranates and of the figs.

So they collected them and filled twelve baskets with the fragments of the five barley loaves which were left over by those who had eaten.

“There is a boy here who has five barley loaves and two small fish. But what are they among so many?”

He made him ride on the high places of the earth, and he ate of the produce of the fields; He made him suck honey out of the rock and oil out of the flinty rock,

butter from the herd, and milk from the flock, along with the fat of lambs, and rams of the breed from Bashan, and goats, with the best of the kernels of wheat; you drank the pure blood of the grape.

Hear therefore, O Israel, and be careful to do it, so that it may be well with you and so that you may multiply greatly, as the Lord the God of your fathers has promised you in the land that flows with milk and honey.

For the Lord your God is bringing you into a good land, a land of brooks of water, of fountains and springs that flow out of valleys and hills,

a land where you may eat bread without scarcity, in which you will not lack anything, a land whose stones are iron, and out of whose hills you may dig copper.
