So Jehoahaz had only fifty horsemen, ten chariots, and ten thousand footmen left, for the king of Aram had destroyed them and made them like the dust at threshing.

I will also send wild beasts among you, which shall rob you of your children, destroy your livestock, and make you few in number. And your roads shall be desolate.
For thus says the Lord God: The city that went out with a thousand will be left with a hundred, and the one that went out with a hundred will be left with ten for the house of Israel.
