The Lord will bring a nation against you from far away, from the end of the earth, as swift as the eagle flies, a nation whose language you will not understand,

He made it a decree in Joseph when He went throughout the land of Egypt. I heard a language that I had not known:

the way of an eagle in the sky, the way of a serpent on a rock, the way of a ship in the midst of the sea, and the way of a man with a virgin.

You shall not see a fierce people any more, a people of unintelligible speech which no one comprehends, of a stammering tongue which no one understands.

Our pursuers were swifter than the eagles of the skies. They pursued us on the mountains; they lay in wait for us in the wilderness.

I will bring you out of the midst of the city and deliver you into the hands of strangers and execute judgments against you.

And ships will come from the coasts of Cyprus and will afflict Ashur and will afflict Eber, and he also will perish forever.”

Wherever the corpse is, there the vultures will be gathered together.

In the law it is written: “With men of other tongues and other lips I will speak to this people; but even then they will not hear Me,” says the Lord.
