And all the elders of that city, which is nearest to the slain man, shall wash their hands over the heifer whose neck was broken in the valley.

Surely I have kept my heart clean in vain, and washed my hands in innocence.

I will wash my hands in innocence; thus will I go around Your altar, O  Lord,

since they are concerned only with foods and drinks, ceremonial cleansings, and fleshly ordinances imposed until the time of reformation.

For though you wash yourself with lye, and take much soap, yet your iniquity is marked before Me, says the Lord God.
