I will raise up a prophet from among their brothers, like you, and will put My words in his mouth, and he will speak to them all that I command him.

So Jesus said to them, “When you lift up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am He, and I do nothing of Myself. But I speak these things as My Father taught Me.

The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet from the midst of you, of your brothers, like me. You must listen to him.

The woman said to Him, “I know that Messiah is coming” (who is called Christ). “When He comes, He will tell us all things.”

There is one God and one mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus,

As You sent Me into the world, so I sent them into the world.

I no longer call you servants, for a servant does not know what his master does. But I have called you friends, for everything that I have heard from My Father have I made known to you.

The Lord has sworn and will not change His mind, “You are a priest forever according to the order of Melchizedek.”

“I have set My king on Zion, My holy hill.”

Through this oath Jesus became the guarantor of a better covenant.

The Lord God has given me the tongue of the learned, that I may know how to sustain him who is weary with a word; He awakens me morning by morning; He awakens my ear to listen as the learned.

He was king over Jeshurun, when the heads of the people and the tribes of Israel were gathered together.

And Moses cried out to the Lord, saying, “O God, heal her, I pray!”

I stood between the Lord and you at that time to declare to you the word of the Lord, for you were afraid because of the fire and would not go up to the mountain. He said:

They asked him, “Who then? Are you Elijah?” He said, “I am not.” “Are you the Prophet?” He answered, “No.”

They asked him, “Why do you baptize then, if you are not the Christ, nor Elijah, nor the Prophet?”

He who rejects Me, and does not receive My words, has that which judges him. The word I have spoken will judge him on the last day.

For Moses indeed said to the fathers, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. You shall hear whatever He may say to you.

“This is the Moses who said to the Israelites, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your brothers. Him you shall hear.’

Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you must say.”

You shall speak to him and put the words in his mouth, and I will be with your mouth, and with his mouth, and will teach you what you must do.

The Lord put a word in the mouth of Balaam and said, “Return to Balak, and thus you will speak.”

Since then there has not arisen a prophet in Israel like Moses, whom the Lord knew face to face,

Listen to Me, O My people; and give ear to Me, O My nation: for a law shall proceed from Me, and I will set My justice as a light of the peoples.

Then the Lord put forth His hand and touched my mouth. And the Lord said to me, “Behold, I have put My words in your mouth.

I raised up some of your sons as prophets, and some of your young men as Nazirites. Is it not so, O Israelites? says the Lord.

The Lord met Balaam and put a word in his mouth and said, “Go again to Balak, and thus you will speak.”

Ephraim provoked Him to anger most bitterly, so his Lord shall leave his bloodguilt on him and repay him for his reproach.
