Deuteronomy 16:3

Modern English Version

You must not eat leavened bread with it. For seven days you must eat unleavened bread, the bread of affliction, for you came out of the land of Egypt in a hurry, so that you may remember all the days of your life the day when you came out of the land of Egypt.

It is in vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrowful toil; for so He gives His beloved sleep.

They shall eat the flesh on that night, roasted with fire, and they shall eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

You shall keep the Feast of Unleavened Bread. For seven days you are to eat unleavened bread, as I commanded you, in the month of Aviv, for in the month of Aviv you came out of Egypt.

For you shall not go out with haste nor go by flight. For the Lord will go before you, and the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

On the fifteenth day of the same month is the Feast of Unleavened Bread to the Lord. For seven days you must eat unleavened bread.

And I will pour out on the house of David and over those dwelling in Jerusalem a spirit of favor and supplication so that they look to Me, whom they have pierced through. And they will mourn over him as one mourns for an only child and weep bitterly over him as a firstborn.

On the fifteenth day of this month is the feast. Unleavened bread will be eaten for seven days.

The fourteenth day of the second month at evening they will keep it, and eat it with unleavened bread and bitter herbs.

Then He took the bread, and when He had given thanks, He broke it and gave it to them, saying, “This is My body which is given for you. Do this in remembrance of Me.”

Therefore let us keep the feast, not with old yeast, nor with the yeast of malice and wickedness, but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth.

Therefore, you must sacrifice the Passover to the Lord your God, from the flock or the herd, in the place where the Lord shall choose to place His name.

Only give heed to yourself and keep your soul diligently, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen and lest they depart from your heart all the days of your life, but teach them to your sons, and your grandsons.

You became followers of us and the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit.

you will answer them that the waters of the Jordan were cut off before the ark of the covenant of the Lord. When it crossed the Jordan, the waters of the Jordan were cut off. These stones will be a memorial for the Israelites continually.”
