Every creeping thing that flies is unclean to you. They must not be eaten.

Then God said, “Let the waters swarm with swarms of living creatures and let the birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.”

the stork, and the heron after its kind, and the hoopoe, and the bat.

You may eat all the clean birds.

Their destination is destruction, their god is their appetite, their glory is in their shame, their minds are set on earthly things.
