But when you cross the Jordan, and dwell in the land which the Lord your God has given you to inherit, and when He gives you rest from all your enemies round about, so that you dwell in safety,

Judah and Israel lived safely, every man under his vine and under his fig tree, from Dan to Beer-sheba all the days of Solomon.

“Blessed be the Lord who has given rest to His people Israel according to all that He promised. Not one word of His promises which He gave by the hand of Moses His servant has failed.

“Is not the Lord your God with you? Has He not given you rest all around? For He has given the inhabitants of the land into my hand, and the land is subdued before the Lord and His people.

I will both lie down in peace and sleep; for You, Lord, make me dwell safely and securely.

And He said, “My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.”

But whoever listens to me will dwell safely, and will be at ease without fear of evil.”

In his days Judah will be saved, and Israel will dwell safely. And this is the name by which he will be called: the lord our righteousness.

Behold, I will gather them out of all countries wherever I have driven them in My anger, and in My fury, and in great wrath; and I will bring them again to this place, and I will cause them to dwell safely.

the voice of joy, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride, the voice of those who shall say, “Give thanks to the Lord of Hosts, for the Lord is good; for His mercy endures forever,” and of those who bring the sacrifice of praise into the house of the Lord, for I will restore the fortunes of the land as at the first, says the Lord.

They shall dwell safely in it and shall build houses and plant vineyards and dwell securely when I execute judgments on all those around them who despise them. Then they shall know that I am the Lord their God.

I will make with them a covenant of peace and will cause the wild beasts to cease from the land so that they dwell safely in the wilderness and sleep in the woods.

They shall no more be a prey to the nations, nor shall the beast of the land devour them. But they shall dwell safely and no one shall make them afraid.

and you shall say, “I will go up against the land of unwalled villages. I will go against those who are at rest, that dwell safely, all of them dwelling without walls and having neither bars nor gates,”

After many days you shall be called. In the latter years you shall come into the land that is restored from the sword, whose inhabitants have been gathered out of many peoples, against the mountains of Israel which had been always a waste. But its people were brought out of the nations, and they, all of them, are dwelling safely.

For you will cross over the Jordan to go in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you, and you will possess it, and dwell in it.

Get up to the top of Pisgah and lift up your eyes to the west and north and south and east, and see it with your eyes, for you shall not cross over this Jordan.

Of Benjamin he said: The beloved of the Lord will dwell in safety by Him, and the Lord will protect him all day long; he will dwell between His shoulders.

Israel dwells in safety; the fountain of Jacob will be secluded in a land of grain and new wine; its heavens will rain down dew.

So I must die in this land. I shall not cross over the Jordan, but you shall go over and possess that good land.

Hear, O Israel! You are to cross over the Jordan today, to go in to possess nations greater and mightier than you, great cities fortified up to heaven,

So Joshua took the whole land according to all that the Lord had said to Moses. Joshua gave it to Israel as an inheritance according to their allotted portions by their tribes. Then the land rested from war.

These are the territories that the Israelites inherited in the land of Canaan, which Eleazar the priest, Joshua son of Nun, and the family leaders of the Israelite tribes assigned to them.

The priests carrying the ark of the covenant of the Lord stood firmly on dry ground in the middle of the Jordan, and all Israel crossed over on dry ground until the entire people completed crossing over the Jordan.

The Reubenites, the Gadites, and the half-tribe of Manasseh crossed over in battle formation in front of the Israelites, according to what Moses had said to them.

Then Samuel took a stone and set it between Mizpah and Shen. And he called its name Ebenezer saying, “Thus far the Lord has helped us.”
