At that time the Lord set apart the tribe of Levi to carry the ark of the covenant of the Lord, to stand before the Lord to minister to Him, and to bless in His name, to this day.

The priests brought in the ark of the covenant of the Lord to its place in the inner sanctuary of the house, to the Most Holy Place under the wings of the cherubim.

Then David said, “No one may carry the ark of God except the Levites since the Lord chose them to carry the ark of the Lord and to minister before Him always.”

Since God helped the Levites who carried the ark of the covenant of the Lord, they sacrificed seven bulls and seven rams.

The sons of Amram were Aaron and Moses, but Aaron was set apart to consecrate the most holy things, he and his sons forever, to offer sacrifices before the Lord, to minister to Him, and to bless in His name forever.

And so the Levites no longer need to carry the tabernacle and all its implements for its service.”

My people, do not now be negligent, for the Lord has chosen you to stand in His presence, to serve Him, and to be ministers and make sacrifices for Him.”

Then the priests and Levites went out and blessed the people, and their voices were heard. And their prayers came up to His holy habitation in the heavens.

Come, bless the Lord, all you servants of the Lord, who stand by night in the house of the Lord!

Lift up your hands in the sanctuary, and bless the Lord.

you who stand in the house of the Lord, in the courts of the house of our God!

Therefore thus says the Lord: If you return, then I will bring you back, and you shall stand before Me; and if you take out the precious from the worthless, you will be My spokesman. Let them return to you, but do not return to them.

Yet they shall be ministers in My sanctuary, having charge at the gates of the house and ministering to the house. They shall slay the burnt offering and the sacrifice for the people, and they shall stand before them to minister to them.

But the Levitical priests, the sons of Zadok, who kept the charge of My sanctuary when the Israelites went astray from Me, they shall come near to Me to minister to Me, and they shall stand before Me to offer to Me the fat and the blood, says the Lord God.

Then he put the turban upon his head. Also on the turban at the front he put the golden plate, the holy crown, as the Lord commanded Moses.

Aaron lifted up his hand toward the people, and blessed them, and came down from offering the sin offering, the burnt offering, and peace offerings.

Their duty included the ark, and the table, and the lampstand, and the altars, and the vessels of the sanctuary they minister with, and the hanging, and all its service.

Bring the tribe of Levi near, and present them before Aaron the priest, and they will minister to him.

When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the sanctuary, and all the instruments of the sanctuary, as the camp is to set out, after that, the sons of Kohath will come to carry it. But they will not touch any holy thing, lest they die. These things are the burden of the sons of Kohath in the tent of meeting.

You did not choose Me, but I chose you, and appointed you, that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that the Father may give you whatever you ask Him in My name.

As they worshipped the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for Me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”

Paul, a servant of Jesus Christ, called to be an apostle and set apart for the gospel of God,

if service, in serving; he who teaches, in teaching;

Therefore, “Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.”

But when it pleased God, who set me apart since I was in my mother’s womb and called me by His grace,

The man who acts presumptuously and does not listen to the priest who stands to minister before the Lord your God, or to the judge—that man must die, and you must purge the evil from Israel.

For the Lord your God has chosen him out of all your tribes to stand to minister in the name of the Lord, him and his sons forever.

And it must be, that the city which is closest to the slain man, that is, the elders of that city shall take a heifer which has not been worked, that has never pulled in yoke,

Then the priests, the sons of Levi, must come near, for the Lord your God has chosen them to minister to Him, and to bless in the name of the Lord, and by their word every controversy and every assault will be settled.

Moses wrote this law and delivered it to the priests, the sons of Levi who bore the ark of the covenant of the Lord, and to all the elders of Israel.
