Daniel 7:1

In the first year of Belshazzar king of Babylon, Daniel had a dream and visions of his mind while on his bed. Then he wrote the dream and told the sum of the matters.

Surely the Lord God does nothing without revealing His purpose to His servants the prophets.

And it will be that, afterwards, I will pour out My Spirit on all flesh; then your sons and your daughters will prophesy, your old men will dream dreams, and your young men will see visions.

Belshazzar the king made a great feast for one thousand of his lords and drank wine before the thousand.

I saw a dream which made me afraid, and the thoughts upon my bed and the visions of my head troubled me.

As for these four youths, God gave them knowledge and skill in every branch of learning and wisdom. And Daniel had understanding in all kinds of visions and dreams.

The prophet who has a dream, let him tell his dream. And he who has My word, let him speak My word faithfully. What is the chaff to the wheat? says the Lord.

“Write the things which you have seen, and the things which are, and the things which will take place after this.

And the Lord answered me: Write the vision, and make it plain on tablets, that he who reads it may run.

I, Daniel, was grieved in my spirit in the midst of my body, and the visions of my head troubled me.

I saw in the night visions, and behold, one like a Son of Man came with the clouds of heaven, and He came to the Ancient of Days and was presented before Him.

And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar, Nebuchadnezzar had dreams, and his spirit was troubled and his sleep left him.

He said, “Hear now My word. If there is a prophet among you, I the Lord will make Myself known to him in a vision, and I will speak to him in a dream.

God spoke to Israel in visions of the night and said, “Jacob, Jacob.” And he said, “Here I am.”

And when the seven thunders sounded their voices, I was about to write, but I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Seal up those things which the seven thunders said, and do not write them.”

Doubtless it is not profitable for me to boast. So I will move on to visions and revelations of the Lord.

For whatever was previously written was written for our instruction, so that through perseverance and encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope.

In the third year of the reign of King Belshazzar a vision appeared to me, even to me Daniel, after that which appeared to me at the first.

After this I saw in the visions at night, and behold, there was a fourth beast, dreadful and terrible, and exceedingly strong. And it had great iron teeth. It devoured and broke in pieces, and stamped the rest with its feet. And it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns.

That same night Belshazzar the king of the Chaldeans was slain.

“Yet you, his son, O Belshazzar, have not humbled your heart, though you knew all this;

In the thirtieth year, in the fourth month, on the fifth day of the month, as I was among the captives by the river of Kebar, the heavens were opened and I saw visions of God.

Then Jeremiah called Baruch the son of Neriah. And Baruch wrote on a scroll at the dictation of Jeremiah all the words of the Lord which He had spoken to him.

All nations shall serve him and his son and his son’s son until the time of his own land comes; and then many nations and great kings will make him their servant.

Now go, write it before them on a tablet, and note it in a book, that it may serve in the time to come as a witness forever;

Moreover the Lord said to me, Take for yourself a large book and write in it with a man’s pen: “Belonging to Maher-shalal-hash-baz.”

Amid disquieting thoughts from night visions, when deep sleep falls on mortals,

After this the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying, “Do not fear, Abram. I am your shield, your exceedingly great reward. ”

Then Jeremiah took another scroll and gave it to Baruch the scribe, the son of Neriah who wrote in it from the mouth of Jeremiah all the words of the book which Jehoiakim king of Judah had burned in the fire. And there were added to them many like words.

In the visions of God He brought me into the land of Israel and set me upon a very high mountain, on which was as the frame of a city on the south.

The king said to Daniel, whose name was Belteshazzar, “Are you able to make known to me the dream which I have seen, and its interpretation?”

“I saw in the visions of my head upon my bed, and behold, there was a holy watcher coming down from heaven.
